Richard Eglon, marketing manager at Comms-Care, said: 'Previously, we tended
to do basic minor repairs, but were getting lots of requests from VARs to
provide more complex repairs so decided to invest in repair facilities and
staff.'
Eglon said resellers have struggled to find a dedicated repair facility that
can handle a wide range of products.
'A lot of repair facilities have closed down so when kits are broken
resellers only have the option of replacing it.
'Now they are in the position to provide them with an alternative solution,'
he said.
David Gould, commercial director at PC World Business, said: 'We carry out a
huge amount of repairs. There is a large market for warranty repairs and anyone
who can provide a swift repair service will do well.'
