The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIoT) has announced that Peter Fanning
will become its chief executive officer.
Fanning was acting chief executive for the Office of Government Commerce, the
body which advises government on best practice in hiring consultants.
He has also formerly been director of NatWest Capital Markets and chief
executive of the Public Private Partnership Programme.
Peter Fanning said: 'I am delighted to be taking up this newly created role.
The CIoT is an excellent organisation and the leading professional body for tax
in the UK. It will be a privilege to guide it through this period of change.'
