Richard Burnett, previously managing director of Memory Plus Limited, has become vice-president of sales for parent organisation Memory Corporation Group.
Burnett set up the bespoke silicon assembler and distributor in 1989 - with a team of one! His career began as an engineering technician for a firm that made telescopic sights for the airforce, before breaking into the world of selling, shifting semi-conductors.
A spell at AMP ended when he set up his own company SMT, which he sold to Thomas and Betts, before leaving to set up his new venture, Memory Plus.
A slightly newer face at Memory Plus is Danni Olding, who joined last month as dealer team supervisor. Formerly with Esperan, a components manufacturer in Silicon Valley, she is to take responsibility for a team of five salespeople.
