Distributor Bell Micro has elevated
long-standing European boss Graeme Watt to a newly-created global position.
Following four years as Bell’s president of European distribution, Watt has
been promoted to president of worldwide distribution. He will continue to report
to Donald Bell, Bell’s chief executive and president.
Watt will now oversee Bell’s North American, Europe and Latin American
operations, taking responsibility for all sales, marketing, operations, IT,
value-added, finance and other support activities.
Donald Bell said in a statement: “Graeme has a deep understanding of the IT
industry and has the experience and capabilities to lead our continued success
worldwide.
“In his leadership role in Europe, he has had responsibility for
approximately half of our total distribution business. His demonstrated
leadership capabilities have enabled the Company to build a talented and high
calibre team in Europe,"
Before joining Bell in 2004, Watt was EMEA president of broadliner
Tech
Data.
