Armed with a Computer Science degree and experience gleaned at Ask and Tricom, Angela took a year out to realise a lifelong ambition of serving as a police officer before returning to IT. Q: What has been your proudest moment in sales?
A: Closing the Action Computer deal at £2.1 million in mid-1998. It was the largest Masterpack deal ever.
Q: What (if anything) makes you laugh at work?
A: Lots! People taking the mickey out of me; tales from sales and services - for example, one of our salesman went through the ceiling of the house he was supposedly renovating; our footie team in action; the company newsletter ...
Q: What is your greatest contribution to your current workplace?
A: Creating and maintaining the value of the customer.
I have created a seamless organisation where the customer and employees are king. Our organisation chart has me at the bottom, the customer at the top, with customer-facing personnel next.
Q: What aspect of your personality is to your greatest advantage in business?
A: My thirst for knowledge, especially about markets and business. Learning from experience.
Q: What would make you dislike a client?
A: Not listening to your advice and then continually blaming you for their own problems - of their own making. Fortunately, I only have a few clients who fall into this category and they know who they are!
Q: What has been your brightest business idea?
A: Five years ago I wanted to make every client referenceable. This in itself has brought opportunities knocking and earned me a reputation with our clients and employees. I phone our clients regularly and ask them to tell me what we have done well and what we have done badly.
Q: When are you at your best? On the phone, face-to-face or in writing?
A: Face to face. I can gauge the person more, due to their facial expressions.
Q: Are you a good manager? Why?
A: Yes, I enjoy coaching others to achieve their ambitions and goals. I value suggestions from staff and customers.

A: Martin Cousins, the sports commentator for FIS world cup skiing on Eurosport.
Q: In a sentence, tell me why I should work for your company.
A: We are a fast-growing solutions provider that works as a fun-loving team focused on our customers.
Q: If you were to set up your dream business (for fun, not profit) what would it be?
A: A martial arts school to help teach children self-reliance.
Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given and did you take it?
A: Follow your dreams and they will come true. I believe that visualising an achievement is 50% of achieving it.
When training for the London marathon, I visualised passing the gates of Buckingham Palace and what that moment was going to feel like and it drove me to success.
Q: What would an enemy fear about you?
A: Confidence and determination. As a kick-boxing instructor, the same is true in business as in the ring!
Q: What work of art do you wish you'd created?
A: St Peter's in Rome.
Q: In what circumstances would you tell a lie?
A: None. I believe the truth is important at all times.
Q: What's the most enjoyable way to gamble?
A: Going to the races. I have only been once and I lost, but it was great fun.
Q: If you could go back and change one thing about your career, what would it be?
A: Nothing. I have enjoyed it all and each piece has contributed to my success today.

A: Walking the Himalayas into Tibet; speaking a foreign language fluently; having a golf handicap in single figures.

A: I've had the best time and all good things come to an end.
