ITNet beat ICL, EDS, Unisys, Sema and Cap Gemini to be this month's table-topper, thanks to a £29 million deal with London Transport and London Underground.
The contract, which is to manage 8,000 PCs and 250 servers on more than 140 sites across London, was apparently awarded to ITNet after it offered 'the most economically advantageous solution'.
A good cultural fit and 'strong experience of transferring services from incumbent suppliers' were the other winning factors cited by London Underground.
The new ITNet contract replaces one held jointly by ICL and EDS.
Hackney Borough Council has finally ended its housing benefits and council tax systems contract with UK outsourcer ITNet, nearly three months after it voted to terminate the deal. 15 Jan 2001
