Sage unveiled a core development strategy for its entire range of customer
relationship management applications, focusing on open standards, mobility and
Web 2.0 technologies.
Sage sells a number of CRM products, including ACT, Sage CRM and Sage
SalesLogix. By delivering a common approach to enhancing each product, Sage aims
to improve customers' ability to switch products as their needs change.
A new version of its SalesLogix application, due for release in August, would
focus include enhanced mobile support, said David Pinches, Sage mid-market head
of software.
Meanwhile Sage CRM v6.2, which is due to ship later this year, will improve
users' ability to track customers.
Pinches also confirmed that versions of SalesLogix and ACT which can be
delivered as a hosted service are also in the pipeline.
