IBM has freshened up its range of new business-protection services targeted
at mid-sized firms.
The new services fall under IBM's
Express
Advantage banner – a collection of packaged services aimed at delivering
high-end IT services for cost-conscious customers, such as mid-sized firms.
"These latest Express Advantage offerings are helping mid-market companies
solve their toughest business challenges," said Steve Solazzo, general manager,
IBM General Business in a statement.
The new services include a cloud-based business continuity package, which
includes a remote back-up and recovery services for Windows servers and PCs. IBM
will also start offering an email archiving service through its reseller
partners.
These services are based on the technologies IBM gained through its
acquisition of Arsenal Digital Solutions.
A recent report by analyst group IDC noted that mid-sized businesses were
increasing their spending IT, particularly on packaged services. But it also
noted that a significant proportion of mid-sized buyers looked for services
targeted at their specific vertical market
