Nvidia has refreshed its mobile
workstation
graphics chips for professionals, including its first offering for the slim
notebook arena.
The new PCI Express processors are the Quadro FX 350M, 1500M and 2500M. The
350M is Nvidia's first solution for thin and light notebooks, offering 256MB of
memory and using a 64Mbit memory interface.
Both the Quadro FX 1500 and FX 2500M use faster 256Mbit memory interfaces and
come with 256MB and 512MB of graphics memory as standard.
The launch of a 512MB product comes just one week after rival ATI announced
its own 512MB offering and the world's first professional graphics card with 1GB
of memory, the
FireGL
V7350.
Dell is the first manufacturer to launch products supporting the new Quadro
FX processors with the launch of the
Precision
M65 and
M90
notebooks.
