CD-Runner is a combined audio and multimedia player that supports the majority of current file formats. Designed to look real hi-fi equipment, the player can take a little getting used to due to its different interface.
The player consists of three programs - CD Runner, DVD Runner and Media Runner - all of which have their own unique interface. CDs are played via CD-Runner, DVDs via DVD Runner and all media stored on your PC is played via Media Runner.
All the usual features are here, including support for ID3 tags, play lists, audio ripping and conversion, CDDB-2 information, along with a simple graphic equaliser and repeat/random options for audio.
A CD ripper is included, allowing you to extract files from CD and convert them from WAV to MP3 once ripped.
The player is rather large on-screen compared to other examples, even in small mode, so it's more likely to be hidden when not in use than kept always on top. It can do some odd things when switching between players too.
