Napster has redesigned its online music store and is offering three months' free membership to anyone buying a Creative Zen Micro MP3 player or Portable Media Centre from the Napster site.

In an attempt to make the site more user friendly, a Playlists To Go service is being built in to allow users to drag and drop 100 tracks at a time into specially formatted play lists.

The site will also have a section devoted to the sale of MP3 players, and the deal with Creative could see similar offers for other players. Logitech has already signed up to retail its equipment through the site.

Other improvements include a video vault and the ability to buy video and stream it from the site. There will also be a section giving background information about the artists on Napster's catalogue, including biographies, exclusive quotes and most important tracks.

Prices remain unchanged at £14.95 per month for unlimited downloads. Once customers stop paying, however, the music will cease to be playable within a month.
