Microsoft
has sacked its chief information officer for violating the company's internal
policies.
"We can confirm that Stuart Scott was terminated after an investigation for
violation of company policies, and have no further information to share," a
company spokesperson told
vnunet.com.
Scott's
biography on Microsoft's website was updated on Monday and now states that
his "employment at Microsoft ended in early November 2007".
Prior to joining Microsoft in 2005, Scott worked for 17 years in various
roles at
General
Electric.
He will be replaced by Shahla Aly and corporate vice president Alain Crozier
until a replacement is found.
